1. Blofelds Volcano Lair - You Only Live Twice
A secret volcano lair is a very fitting base of operations for the leader of SPECTRE, Ernst Stravro Blofeld. Simply put, no-one else would have the available work force or resources to attempt build anything as spectacular. This lair had everything helipads, rocket launch facilities, a fully functional monorail system, complicated control centre and living quarters for all the henchmen working on the Bird 1 project. The breath taking scope and visually striking features set it apart from every other James Bond lair there has ever been. It was also superbly hidden so that annoying satellites or aerial surveillance couldnt find it, it was the perfect location from which to launch secret rockets. Not only that, but it also contained an easily accessible luxury area allowing Blofeld some valuable relaxation time. In stark contrast to the other rooms within the complex, this location is all about comfort and style, with artwork, antique furniture and a beautiful lounge all present. Guests would have to ensure not to upset their host though, or else they could find themselves being dumped into a pool filled with piranha while crossing the only bridge on your way out. And thats never a nice way to end a meeting.
