10 Greatest MCU Villains Of 2021

It’s said that every villain is the hero of their own story. It makes an antagonist so much more accessible, relatable, and compelling if the audience can understand why they think this way, or at least why they are doing what they are doing. This is certainly the case with Maya Lopez.

Who wouldn’t want revenge for their father who was murdered in cold blood? William Lopez may have been part of a bad crowd, but he was a good father to Maya, and to be killed by a man who refused to show his face was enough for his daughter to bleed herself dry in search of answers.

In her world the Ronin was the murderous villain, and she used every resource she had, including the Tracksuit Mafia, and being a badass in general, to find him.

You just have to feel sorry for her. Aside from her motivations, Maya was certainly a unique character, unlike anything we’ve seen in the MCU before. It’s fair to say that she has done more than enough through Hawkeye to garner enough excitement and anticipation for her own series yet to come.
