10 Greatest Teams In MCU History
5. New Look Avengers
The Avengers are the MCU’s longest tenured team, and since their debut in 2012, have seen a lot of change. It would be unfair to class every different line-up of the Avengers as the same team, so this is the first of the three different iterations the roster went through.
After Ultron’s defeat in Sokovia, the team looked very different to what it was before. Thor went off in search of Infinity Stones across the cosmos, Hawkeye and Iron Man retired, and Hulk abandoned Earth altogether. They weren’t the '27 Yankees, and while they did have some hitters, the team left a little to be desired.
Steve and Natasha took to whipping their new recruits into shape. Rhodey and Sam were joined by Wanda and Vision as Age of Ultron came to a close, as part of a team desperately in need of training.
They were only as a team for six months before the Sokovia Accords tore them apart, and all they really did was chase Brock Rumlow across the globe. Even when they confronted him in Lagos, Rhodey and Vision were nowhere to be seen. Maybe if they had the help of the missing third of their team, Wanda would never have killed the innocent people that she did.
