10 Greatest Teams In MCU History
3. The Revengers
While the Avengers split off into its two opposing sides with the inception of the Sokovia Accords, two key members of the team were off-world. No one on Earth knew what they were doing, or that they were even together, but they were actually forming a team of their own.
Thor found himself on Sakaar after being thrown from the Bifrost by his sister, and soon found that the Hulk had been there for many Sakaarian years already. Though the latter was at first unconvinced by the prospect of joining the Revengers and fighting for Asgard, as was the other potential recruit, Valkyrie, they ultimately came together.
There were just three on the roster of the team when they landed on Asgard, but they were soon joined by Loki, who brought with him an army. This set into motion the chain of events that would ultimately lead to Ragnarok, and Hela’s defeat. While Thor dealt with his sister himself, Hulk took on Fenris, and Loki and Valkyrie fought off Hela’s army of Berserkers.
Much like Team Cap, in order for the Revengers to actually win, they had to lose. They may have seen to the destruction of the planet, but this was the only way to defeat Hela, and save enough Asgardian lives to create a New Asgard on Earth.
