10 Hidden Gem Slasher Horror Movies

Anchored by a couple of brilliantly bonkers performances from Mark Soper as twin brothers, 1987's Blood Rage is a slasher picture that deserves so much more love than it receives. That's not to say people regularly sh*t on Blood Rage, but more that not enough film fans are even aware of John Grissmer's movie.

Starting off in a totally twisted way, Blood Rage opens at a drive-in movie theater. Tired of seeing their mother copping off with her date, young twins Terry and Todd take a stroll around the drive-in. From completely out of nowhere, Terry takes an axe to the head of some horned-up college kid who's having sex with his girlfriend.

In a total dirtbag move, Terry places the bloodstained murder weapon in the hands of his brother, leading to Todd being locked up in a nuthouse under the belief he'd just killed someone.

After a time jump, things pick up a decade down the line as sh*t once more hit the fan. At the same time Todd escapes the mental asylum, Terry starts to get murderous urges after their mother gets engaged. With dead bodies soon amassing, the question at the centre of Blood Rage is who exactly is behind this latest batch of killings.
