10 Hideously Annoying Minor Supporting Characters In Comic Book Movies

8. General Hager (Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer)

General Hager A former schoolmate of Reed Richards, General Hager is - as his title would suggest - a General in the U.S. military. He is a proud and very stubborn man who is set in his ways, and who puts his personal feelings towards his long-time rival Reed Richards before his duty. In the movie, Hager is put in charge of the mission to track and possibly stop the Silver Surfer and asks for Richards' help, but he's disappointed by the Fantastic Four's way of operating. As a result, he makes an agreement with Victor Von Doom, who helps him to capture the Surfer. Once the Surfer is in custody, Hager tortures him to obtain data about his master Galactus. He then holds the Fantastic Four captive for questioning his methods of interrogation, like the annoying, impossible man that he is. However, once Doom's real motives are revealed, Hager is killed by him during his escape from the military base (which comes as something of a relief).
