10 Hilarious Star Wars: The Force Awakens Parody Trailers

6. Guardians Of A Galaxy Far, Far Away

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdFtjvrzVFc In the year of our lord 2014, is there really any need for a new Star Wars film? After all, didn't Disney already manage to resurrect audience's interest in slightly silly, high budget surprise hit sci-fis with this summer's Guardians Of The Galaxy? Technically James Gunn's film was based off of the Marvel comic series of the same name, but it was clearly more riffing on the science fiction cinema that had preceded it, with special deference being given to the original Star Wars trilogy. After all, what is Peter Quill but a Han Solo for the 21st century audience and a better script? Renato Gaiarsa knows a good idea when he sees one. Sensing an opportunity to capitalise on two of the biggest cinematic events of the year, he took The Force Awakens trailer and decided to fashion it with some Guardians Of The Galaxy flare. So instead of John Williams's iconic score blaring all over the shots of John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, that bloke in the black dressing gown et al, there's the glam seventies stomp of Spirit In The Sky. It actually fits all the footage rather well, albeit making for a very different kind of feel. Not necessarily a worse one, however.
