10 Hilariously Awful DVD Covers

4. Jersey Girl

A fail of composition if I ever saw it. Here's a cover where pretty much everything is wrong; to start, the side-bar in the top left corner explaining that this is Kevin Smith's new film looks extraordinarily cheesy, with a picture of Smith having been badly cut out and then pasted onto a white background, giving the whole thing an amateur look from the outset. From here we've got a critic quote from...Larry King - a paragon of authoritative film criticism if I ever saw one - as well as a bland map background, and this is before we even get on to the worst offenders... Those pictures are just awful. All of them. George Carlin looks like someone who was photographed unawares and Jason Biggs is either creepily watching Affleck and Tyler or staring straight at us, while Affleck and Tyler themselves don't seem very affectionate at all; Tyler's not even looking at him! Then there's the awkward placement of the kid on the left - she's meant to be looking at the two of them but the eyeline match doesn't work, in part because she isn't scaled right. Basically, it's clear that only Tyler and Affleck were even in the same room for these pictures; and even they can't get it right.
