10 Hollywood Actors Who Have Appeared In Doctor Who
10. Timothy Dalton
Timothy Dalton appeared in David Tennant's Doctor Who swansong adventure, The End of Time, back in 2009/10 and, as it turns out, there was a lot more to his guest stint than originally met the eye. A lot, lot more, in fact. It's not every day that you can say you've been a coveted Time Lord and, initially billed as the episode's elusive narrator, it eventually transpired that his character was actually Lord President Rassilon who proceeded to restore his doomed race to their former glory (or, at least, he tried to!) by saving them from the confines of their Gallifreyan time lock. An iconic role within the coveted realms of the Whoniverse but Doctor Who wasn't the first formidable franchise Timothy has left his mark on. Back in the 1980s, the actor took on the iconic alias of James Bond which he portrayed in two movies, The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill, and he's also known for his role as Rhett Butler in the TV miniseries Scarlett and as the voice of Mr Pricklepants (he's a hedgehog, if you hadn't guessed from his name!) in Toy Story 3 and its subsequent tie-in short films. Back to Bond, though (as cute as Mr Pricklepants is), and his tenure as the titular secret agent is widely cited as one of the best Bonds to date. He finally met his match when he came up against the Tenth Doctor, though, who affirmed that he certainly wasn't going to go down without a fight when he sent Rassilon and his trove of tumultuous Time Lords back into hell. All in a day's work, eh, Doctor?
