10 Horror Film Remakes You Didn't Know Were In The Works

8. Frankenstein

Not far off, this one. Set for a release date of November 27, Victor Frankenstein is to tell Mary Shelley's classic tale again, from the perspective of Daniel Radcliffe's Igor. That's right, Igor - not quite the hunchbacked weirdo of previous adaptations. James McAvoy will take the title role (because Frankenstein is not the monster - you knew that, right?) while the cast will be rounded out by a number of other familiar hunky British faces. Max Landis is writing, while Paul McGuigan (the underrated Gangster No. 1, as well as some less good things) is on directorial duties. Not much else has been revealed about the story or the Monster's part to play in events, but with all involved looking rather pensive and glum, expect brooding... lots of brooding.
