10 Horror Films You Didn't Know Were Being Remade

6. The Lost Boys

Magic Anthony Hopkins
Warner Bros.

A contemporary take on the vampire genre, The Lost Boys is an '80s classic. It featured a star-studded cast with Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman, and Corey Haim, and was directed by the late Joel Schumacher.

In 2021, Warner Bros. Pictures announced plans for a remake with Jonathan Entwistle at the helm. The director is known for creating shows like The End of the F*ing World and I Am Not Okay With This. Attached to the film are young actors Noah Jupe and Jaeden Martell, with the former being known for A Quiet Place, while Martell is best remembered for his roles in It and Knives Out.

There are no story details regarding The Lost Boys as of now, and no further developments. At the same time, there is the question of the film's setting. The original revelled in its '80s aesthetic and became one of the most defining horror movies of that decade.

Will the remake attempt to capture the spirit of the 1980s, or will it try to modernize things by setting it in the present?
