1. Paula - The Final Girls
Now this is meta as all hell, but it wouldn't be Final Girl list without a bonafide Final Girl from a movie titled The Final Girls not quite making it to the end as a Final Girl. And perhaps that phrase has lost all meaning now, but the point still stands.
The Final Girls follows a group of friends that accidentally find themselves trapped in the movie Camp Bloodbath. Since they all know how the film plays out, they attempt to stick with badass Paula - the one who survives to the end, and kills baddie Billy - but their interference has some... unexpected consequences.
Upon hearing the urban legend of Billy, Camp Bloodbath's OG characters flee in every direction, with Paula jumping in her car to get the hell away from the site. Watching on in horror, the real-world invaders witness her crash the car into first their friend, and then a totem pole, before the whole thing bursts into flames to REALLY seal the deal that she's been toasted and isn't coming back.
It's one thing to die before your time in a normal film, but one where you've survived previously and already have the badge of honour? Hell no. You're still our Final Girl, Paula.
