Serving as a prequel to the prior two John Krasinski-helmed movies, A Quiet Place: Day One is currently set to hit the silver screen in June, with Pig's Michael Sarnoski on directing duties this time out.  For Krasinski, he does have some involvement here, for he put together the initial story for Day One and serves as a producer.

With a cast headed up by Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o (Us), Alex Wolff (Hereditary), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), Denis O'Hare (American Horror Story), and with Djimon Hounsou reprising his Man on the Island role from A Quiet Place Part II, specifics are being largely kept under wraps for A Quiet Place: Day One.

It's been noted that Day One won't feature the Abbott family of the previous two pictures, and the film has been labelled as both a prequel and a spin-off of what's been seen before from the franchise, with the attention believed to focus on the early days of the otherworldly monsters taking over Earth.

In addition to A Quiet Place: Day One, a straight-up sequel - A Quiet Place Part III - is in development for a 2025 release.
