While many may be unaware that a new Strangers movie has been in production and is now looking at a May 2024 release, even more surprising will be the news that we might actually get three Strangers films released this year.

Helmed by A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master and Deep Blue Sea's Renny Harlin, this May brings The Strangers: Chapter 1, which is the first leg of a trilogy of pictures that were all filmed at the same time. Despite Chapter 1 currently being the only one of those pictures with a confirmed release date, there's plentiful speculation that the next two movies may also have hit the silver screen by the time 2024 comes to a close.

Existing within the same continuity of the previous two Strangers offerings, this trilogy will centre on a couple - played by Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale) and Froy Gutierrez (Teen Wolf) - whose stay at a remote Airbnb is interrupted by the sinister trio of Man in the Mask, Dollface, and Pin-Up Girl. These new films will explore the impact a run-in with the masked killers has on someone, whilst also delving into the backstory of those villainous sorts.
