7. No Escape/Follow Me - Cole Is Tricked Into Killing A Man

Cole, our 'hero' in Escape Room, is a prominent YouTuber who takes on dares from his followers as a means of creating content for his show. For his latest episode, he travels with his friends to Russia, with the aim of staying in an environment that will grant them all "exclusive content".

The film owes a debt to both Saw and Hostel, as this content turns out to be increasingly grisly traps that result in the deaths of his friends. However, while the film itself is not as strong as either of the franchises it emulates, it does offer a grim (if predictable) ending.

Cole believes he is watching the people he cares about suffering horrific fates one by one, driving him further and further into desperation. Thus, when he finds himself confronted with the man he believes to be the architect of the situation, he attacks and brutally kills him. Who wouldn't, right?

Well, it turns out his friends are very much not dead, or even in danger at all.

In fact, this entire event has been one massive, harmless prank for his birthday. Well, as harmless as a prank that drives someone to murder can be.

Surprise, buddy! You're now a killer and your friends are all accessories!
