10 Horror Movie Characters Who Got Advice From THE WORST PLACE POSSIBLE

3. San Dena Proves Absolutely Useless - Drag Me To Hell

Drag Me To Hell Goat Lamia
Universal Pictures

$10,000 for a botched séance that features a demented goat, a vomited-up dead cat, and the death of the wise, wise soul whose advice you've sought out for that fee? Yep, things didn't go all that well for Alison Lohman's Christine in Drag Me to Hell.

After Christine had turned down a mortgage extension for a truly desperate Sylvia Ganush, a curse is placed upon her for bringing shame to the proud, elderly lady. When things take a turn for the eerie, Christine and her partner Clay visit fortune teller Rham Jas for advice on how to to deal with this haunting pickle.

Skip ahead through the death of Ganush, the sacrificing of Christine's kitten and a bunch of creepy hallucinations, and Jas directs Lohman's character towards an all-powerful figure called San Dena.

San Dena plans to summon the demon who's been tormenting Christine - a presence called Lamia - and place this sinister figure into the the form of a waiting goat, then kill that goat and erase Lamia out of the equation.

This goes spectacularly wrong, with Lamia possessing San Dena and her assistant, causing that assistant to sick up the aforementioned dead cat, killing San Dena and her aide, and causing a goat to mock Christine.
