Helen Shivers' (Sarah Michelle Gellar) death in I Know What You Did Last Summer has left audiences screaming at the screen in frustration for almost 25 years.

The surprisingly capable beauty queen very nearly survives her encounter with the hook-wielding fisherman Ben Willis (Muse Watson), though makes the mistake of pointlessly indulging her misguided curiosity.

During the iconic warehouse chase sequence, just as she's moments away from escaping the alleyway and reaching the safety of the Fourth of July street parade, she stops and turns around for a whole four seconds before turning back towards the street. Unsurprisingly, Willis has now caught up to her and finishes her off.

All Helen had to do was keep moving towards the exit, but instead, curiosity proved to be a killer as it so often does. For an otherwise resourceful character, this was mighty silly.
