10 Horror Movie Heroes Who Made Everything Worse

4. Freddie Harris - Halloween: Resurrection

Busta Rhymes' Freddie Harris from Halloween: Resurrection may very well be the most annoying character in the franchise. However, he's technically the hero, since he's the one who defeats Michael Myers with a karate kick. Yes, that actually happens.

But Freddie could've put an end to the masked madman's killathon sooner. In the first act, we see Freddie is producing a reality show where the contestants must spend the night in Michael's former home. Freddie tries spooking the participants by dressing up as Michael, oblivious the real Michael has broken in. When Freddie comes mask-to-mask with the knife-wielding psychopath, he assumes he's the cameraman in costume and lets Michael go. (By this point, Michael has already slaughtered three people.)

Because Freddie is obsessed with the show making money, it takes him hours to realise Michael has murdered most of the contestants. Even though Freddie saves the day (with kung fu), Myers could've been stopped sooner if it wasn't for Freddie's incompetence, stupidity, and greed.

Also, if Freddie didn't orchestrate this reality show to begin with, it wouldn't have enticed Michael to return home in the first place.
