10 Horror Movie Mistakes You Can Never Un-see

5. The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Let’s be honest, pretty much everything about The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a mistake.

Well, maybe not the casting. After all, this laughably bad horror sequel did manage to bag future stars Matthew McConnaughey and Renee Zellweger.

But the film itself was a catastrophe which failed to match either the brutal intensity of the iconic original or the darkly humorous cartoony violence of its sequel. The mistake being highlighted here, though, is a more minor detail.

Don’t worry, it’s still a pretty embarrassing oversight.

Zellweger gave this early starring role her best shot, but still needed knee pads to protect herself during a scene where she scrambles across the windshield of a car, a fact viewers can be sure of because they’re clearly visible on a re-watch.

Fair enough, the knee pads are definitely a necessary safety precaution for such a potentially risky stunt.

But leaving them visible onscreen in the finished film? A little less understandable.
