5. Jason's New Form - Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday
The ninth and apparently "final" Friday the 13th film actually begins promisingly for a hot minute before going to hell in an absolute handbasket in record time.
The opening scene initially seems to be a pretty typical Friday the 13th intro, with Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder) stalking a scantily clad young woman, until it's revealed that the woman is actually an undercover agent and part of an FBI sting intended to end Jason once and for all.
The scene ends with Jason being blown to bits by the might of the FBI, after which his remains are taken to the morgue and things get weird in the worst way possible.
The coroner (Richard Gant) notices that Jason's heart is still beating and feels suddenly compelled to eat it, allowing Jason to possess the guy and continue his murderous rampage.
For one, destroying Jason's traditional form was always going to piss fans off, and then having him "live on" through possession is just some of the goofiest bulls**t imaginable. Sadly it only gets worse from there, as anyone who's seen Jason Goes to Hell can attest.
