10 Horror Movie Sequels That Were JUST Announced
Upcoming horror movie sequels you may have missed were confirmed!

No genre loves a sequel quite as much as horror, because most sufficiently successful horror flicks are probably going to get a follow-up sooner rather than later.
And horror is a genre that just feels innately built for long-running franchises - fans want to see the villain back and killing up a storm once again, and the studio gets to milk the IP for every last drop. It's a win-win.
While not all sequels are created equal, and we all know just how bad cash-in horror sequels can be, it was nevertheless exciting to hear these 10 genre sequels recently be confirmed once and for all.
Though many fans have been chomping at the bit waiting for these sequels to come to fruition, for a while there it seemed like it just wasn't going to happen, for whatever reason.
And then there are those few horror hits that well and truly seemed like a one-off affair, and yet, we now know that a follow-up is in the works. Hell, perhaps it's even been shot already.
No matter how they turn out, there's sure to be plenty of excitement about these recently confirmed horror sequels...
10. Becky 3

Becky was a surprise hit during the onset of the pandemic - a well-crafted horror-thriller elevated by a terrific lead turn from Lulu Wilson and an unhinged, wildly against-type performance from Kevin James as a murderous neo-Nazi.
It did well enough that sequel The Wrath of Becky was released in 2023, with Seann William Scott drafted in this time to play the villainous leader of an alt-right hate group.
The follow-up received even better reviews than its predecessor, and though it very clearly teed up a third movie, The Wrath of Becky's lesser box office performance seemed to suggest that it didn't generate enough revenue for a threequel.
But while recently discussing another Lulu Wilson project, Deadline confirmed that Wilson is imminently due to start shooting Becky 3, which it refers to as the "third and final installment" in the franchise.
It's a given that the third film will once again draft in a comedian to play horrifically against type as a total psychopath, and hopefully the filmmakers will land on an inspired casting choice for Becky's final adversary.
