10 Horror Movie Villain Replacements Fans REJECTED

The Jigsaw Killer, or John Kramer to his nearest and dearest, was a fascinating villain.

Tobin Bell did a masterful job playing this complex character, and it was a real shame to see him go by the end of Saw 3. Thankfully, we were given various apprentices, from the brilliant Amanda to the less brilliant twist reveal of Lawrence Gordon being an apprentice all along, and by the end of Saw 3D we thought that was the end of it.

Then Jigsaw came out in 2017 and revealed another, new character to take on the mantle.

Why exactly did it have to be Logan though? When he was revealed to not only be the new Jigsaw killer but Kramer’s first ever apprentice, fans were less than impressed. The final nail in the coffin was the reveal that it was Nelson who helped Kramer build the legendary Reverse Bear Trap. Surely that honour should be bestowed upon someone more worthy?

For a series renowned for clever twists as well as gore, this was significantly sub-par. He didn’t even say ‘Game Over’ for goodness sake! Hopefully the upcoming ‘Spiral’ can fix some of this tomfoolery, as Logan is hardly a valuable asset to the saga.
