10 Horror Movie Villains Who Got The Best Revenge

5. Freddy Krueger - The Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise

When Freddy Krueger was acquitted for murder, the parents of Elm Street took matters into their own hands, burning the child-killer to death.

Little did they know Freddy would continue his killing spree as a demon, but this time, the fedora-sporting maniac would come for the children in the one place their parents couldn't protect them: their dreams.

Okay, Freddy is an evil incarnate, but his plan is genius. Sleep is a basic human need, so there's nothing the Elm Street residents can do to avoid the deformed deviant after they nod off. Since Krueger has absolute control over the dreamworld, his victims are screwed once they get sleepy.

But what makes Freddy's revenge even sweeter is the fact none of the adults believe their children, when they claim a dream monster is attacking them. Sadly, the parents only realise their kids were telling the truth after Freddy puts them six feet under.

If the parents acted sooner, they could've found some way to stop Krueger long ago. Sadly, their denial allowed Freddy to terrorise Elm Street for years, murdering dozens of children in the process.
