10 Horror Movie Villains Who Were... Kind Of Right

2. Aliens (1986) - Xenomorphs

Imagine this horrific scenario: you’re just living peacefully, minding your own business, when one day, aliens invade with the intent to kill you and terraform your planet. If the planet in question was Earth, and the species humans, this tale would be one of struggle and triumph.

When the shoe is on the other foot, however, as is the case for Aliens, suddenly the ones trying to defend their home are the monsters?

Like it or not, the Weyland-Yutani Corporationalong with the Colonial Marines of Aliens are the aggressors. Had they never set up a colony, and left the Xenomorphs alone, no harm would have come to them. It’s also worth mentioning that the colony’s hidden agenda was to recover facehuggers for use as biological weapons. The charges against those pesky humans just keep adding up.

With this in mind, the climax of the movie featuring the Alien Queen battling Ripley could simply be viewed as a mother attempting to chase off intruders after they armed a nuclear bomb in her home. On your next viewing of Aliens, try adopting this lens, however ridiculous it may feel. But beware: your cheers as a Marine is ripped in two might raise some eyebrows.
