10 Horror Movies Monsters That Just DIDN'T Work

6. Jack Frost - Jack Frost

In this Christmas-themed slasher, serial killer Jack Frost is on his way to be executed when he's accidentally transformed into a mutant snowman. (Oscar-worthy writing right there.)

With a premise like that, nobody should be expecting Jack Frost to be anything special. And yet, Jack Frost isn't even entertainingly awful. The snowman suit is bulky and immobile, making Jack seem more like a person in a costume than a convincing creature, especially when the suit's seams are visible. One-liners are said with no passion, and the wacky kills are let down by sloppy editing and cinematography.

Not only that, the poster and front cover for the film are blatantly misleading, since the design for Jack Frost is far more menacing on those. If Jack Frost looked like his poster counterpart, the movie would've been more entertaining. Instead, we got a snowman that's less believable than the one Michael Keaton played in the other Jack Frost flick.

Rather than learning from the experience, the poster for the equally awful sequel, Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman, shows two designs for the sentient snowman, both of which bear no resemblance to the one in the film.
