10 Horror Movies That Almost Had TERRIBLE Titles

4. Cybernatural - Unfriended

If the last two entries have taught us anything, it's that using a goofy pun for a horror movie title is a risky game, even with comedy flicks. That risk goes tenfold for any horror that wants to be taken seriously. So, why did someone think naming this movie Cybernatural was a good idea?

Unfriended might not be a perfect horror, but it's a thrilling screenlife flick that effectively uses its Skype call format to deliver some stunning scares. During its early days, it went by Offline, which matched the concept but was ultimately dull as a rock. That's why the crew decided to switch it up, but their new idea was embarrassing.

The movie's director, Leo Gabriadze, stated in an interview with Yell Magazine that they chose Cybernatural thanks to how "to the point" it was. But, while it delivers the idea of an internet haunting well, it completely misses the tone, making the movie sound campy, which Unfriended clearly didn't want to be.
