10 Horror Movies That Deserve A Sequel (But Will Never Get One)

Although Paul W.S. Anderson has overseen a myriad of Resident Evil sequels, it would be refreshing to see him revisit another of his properties, Event Horizon.

The cosmic thriller opens with a rescue crew investigating an experimental spaceship called the Event Horizon that vanished, then reappeared years later. Over time, the astronauts discover the ship opened a gateway to Hell, turning the vessel into a malevolent conduit.

Just before the Event Horizon returns to the nightmarish dimension, the captain ejects the front of the ship, allowing the surviving crew members to escape. But in the epilogue, it's apparent that the spacecraft the survivors are residing on is still corrupted by evil.

Sure, it tanked at theatres and received mixed reviews, at best, but Event Horizon is often deemed Anderson's finest work. As such, it'd be interesting to see what happened next. What if the possessed spacecraft returned to Earth? Could it infect mankind? Would a corrupt company try to weaponise the ship or use the demonic dimension for personal gain?

There have been rumblings of a sequel, a prequel, and a TV series in the past, but nothing ever came of them, sadly.
