10 Horror Movies That Scrapped INSANE Kills

8. Making Out With A Corpse - My Bloody Valentine

In 1981's original My Bloody Valentine, lovebirds Mike (Thomas Kovacs) and Harriet (Terry Waterland) are killed off-screen when they're impaled by a drill bit while in the throes of passion.

We're ultimately only shown the aftermath of the attack, as they lay together with the drill bit bored through them both, but director George Mihalka actually filmed an ultra-violent variation of the scene which has sadly since been lost to time.

In a 2009 interview with ComingSoon.net, Mihalka said:

"There was a scene with the two kids in the mine and they're joined together forever... They're just necking and [Mike's] lying on top of [Harriet] and the miner comes in and puts the [drill] through him. She's got her eyes closed and thinks he's just being a little frisky. She opens her mouth and her eyes just widen as he bleeds into her mouth. Then the miner goes whoomp! And [stabs straight through] them both. That scene had to be taken out totally. It has disappeared and we'll never see it."

That sounds fantastically creative and insanely brutal, but instead we were left with a toned-down alternate version, where we only got to observe the aftermath of the pair being impaled through their torsos.
