10 Horror Movies Where Pranks Brutally Backfired

7. Slaughter High (1986)

Sorority Row
Vestron Pictures

Trying to describe the plot of Slaughter High is like trying to describe a fever dream - you can do it, but unless you experience it for yourself it doesn't really mean much. The movie tries to cash in on a few different genres from this time, namely slashers and teen comedies, and ends up in a mish-mash of tone and story.

The key points of the plot are as follows - Marty is a high school nerd, he gets bullied and humiliated by jocks, and ends up covered by acid from his own science experiment.

The '80s was a tough time for nerds.

Ten years later, the now-adult jocks all get reunion invites. They show up and find the school closed, only to say to hell with it, break in, and party anyways.

The jester-masked Marty, who was institutionalized and disfigured for a decade, has generously decided to be the welcoming committee. He lives out a decade of revenge fantasies and violently kills off those who tormented him, most of whom do enough dumb things like wandering off to take a bath, that it's hard to feel sorry for them.

Marty kills everyone, not even leaving a final girl, before a bizarre ending involving the ghosts of Marty's victims, waking up in a hospital, and ripping off his own re-grown face.

No happy ending for anyone here - just a bunch of dead jocks and a faceless Marty.
