10 Horror TV Shows With Terrifying Surprises

3. Annie's Fate Revealed - Being Human

The Haunting Of Hill House Bent Neck Lady Nell
BBC

Being Human is a criminally underrated British horror-sitcom about a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost sharing a house in Bristol. Lenora Crichlow stars as Annie Sawyer, a newly deceased ghost who is quite simply, the sweetest little angel ever put to screen. She’s absolutely lovely and deserves the world.

One of the central plot points of the show is that Annie can’t seem to move on to the afterlife, which her pals George and Mitchell help her with. The three reside in Annie’s old home, which her fiancé Owen has rented out. Annie remembers falling down the stairs to her death, but nothing else.

However, after a fellow ghost tells her that she has unfinished business which is keeping her on Earth, Annie has a horrifying flashback. Owen was not the man she thought he was, and during an argument she accuses him of cheating. He becomes verbally and physically abusive, and he pushes her down the stairs.

Annie, and the audience, are utterly horrified that such a cruel fate befell such a good person. Her retribution could not come sooner.

Tilly Owen hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
