5. Namor - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

When it released in 2018, Black Panther quickly became one of the most popular outings in the entire MCU catalogue. The list of reasons why is far too long to go into here, but suffice to say that one big draw was the fact that it boasted one of the franchise’s strongest antagonists to date.

Whichever villain comes into Wakanda looking for trouble will have the almost unfillable shoes of Erik Killmonger to fill, but one who arguably has the best chance of making such an impact is Namor. This would be a franchise game-changer.

The Sub-Mariner has operated within Marvel Comics as a hero, a villain, and an anti-hero, and could easily come into the MCU and fill a similar role to that of Loki over the past ten years. Atlantis' rivalry with Wakanda, and his own personal beef with the Black Panther would make Wakanda Forever the perfect platform for a debut.

The movie has already added Tenoch Huerta to its cast in an as of yet undisclosed role, something which has led many to believe he will bring to life Namor. With the movie set to release just one month before DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Marvel could just swoop in and steal their underwater thunder.
