10 HUGE MCU Phase Four Fan Theories That Could Come True
4. Adam Warlock Will Appear Before Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3
Post-credit stings have over the years become one of the trademarks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and are a cornerstone of building the foundations of the future of the franchise. Some are paid off almost immediately, while some are much slower burners.
One of the most exciting teases ever has of course had fans waiting the longest to see it pay off, which came in the form of Ayesha namedropping Adam Warlock. This came in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 in 2017, and Warlock himself won’t appear in the MCU until Volume 3 in 2023. Six years is a long time to wait, but it could potentially be slightly shorter.
The Guardians of the Galaxy will appear twice before Volume 3, first in Thor: Love and Thunder, and then in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special before the end of the year. With this in mind, there is no reason to think that Will Poulter’s character can’t appear in 2022.
Love and Thunder is already far too stacked for Warlock to appear before the credits roll, but he could certainly show up after them as a tease for Volume 3. The best bet however would be the Holiday Special. There has to be a reason for producing the project, and Warlock’s debut would certainly make it worthwhile.
