10 HUGE MCU Phase Four Fan Theories That Could Come True

Sticking with the Guardians of the Galaxy, James Gunn is notoriously tight-lipped about his movies, even more so than many of the other big names under the Marvel Studios umbrella. This opens his work up to so many wonderful fan theories.

One of the biggest questions surrounding Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 right now is concerning Chukwudi Iwuji. After working with James Gunn on Peacemaker, the director brought him across to Marvel almost immediately. With no character confirmed for him, fan theories are obviously ripe, particularly since Gunn tweeted that the actor had been offered “the role most every big name actor in Hollywood wanted.”

Gunn is infamous for bringing obscure characters into the mainstream, but realistically if every actor in Hollywood wanted this role, Iwuji must be playing a huge character from the comics. Looking at the cosmic side of the source material, and at who James Gunn has at his disposal that hasn’t already been introduced into the MCU, there aren’t many names bigger than the Silver Surfer.

Surely it’s only a matter of time before Norrin Radd comes to the big screen once again, and there would be no better place than the Guardians of the Galaxy. Gunn could still surprise us, but of all the theories on this list, this is potentially the most likely to come true.
