7. Walton Goggins
Much like Justified co-star Timothy Olyphant, Walton Goggins is an actor that has delivered some brilliant performances on television over the years, but is yet to make the jump to the big-screen with any real success. Which is a shame, as the 42 year-old's performance as Boyd Crowder on the show has created one of the most memorable small-screen characters in recent years. An Academy Award-winning filmmaker (star and co-producer of the Best Live Action Short Film winner The Accountant in 2002), Goggins has been working solidly since the early 1990s but only came to prominence at the turn of the century thanks to his memorable run as Detective Shane Vendrell during seven seasons of The Shield. Since 2010 his turn as the eloquent, manipulative Boyd on Justified has seen him nominated for multiple awards and led to several roles in high-profile movies. In the last four years Goggins has appeared in small roles in features as diverse as Predators, Cowboys and Aliens, Lincoln, Django Unchained, GI Joe: Retaliation and Machete Kills. After four years of balancing one of the most interesting characters on television with supporting roles in successful movies, the imminent end of Justified at the end of the next season should serve as a springboard to better movie roles. A dark, intense and often hypnotic screen presence, Walton Goggins could make for one hell of a big-screen villain if given half a chance and the right material.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
