10 Iconic Batman Moments We Still Haven't Seen On Film

8. The Dark Knight Strikes Again: Batman Knocks Superman Out

Whenever we do finally see Batman and Superman share the big screen, the one thing I want to see more than anything else is the two of them duking it out. Their fights have always been more epic than their team-ups, and none more so than their battle at the end of The Dark Knight Strikes Again #1. After faking his death in The Dark Knight Returns, Batman returns a few years later to free those members of the Justice League that refused to bow to Lex Luthor€™s control: the Atom, the Flash, and Green Arrow. Superman, at Lex€™s behest, goes to try and reason with Bruce to get him to stop his nonsense. But Batman is ready and waiting with a series of traps that no one, not even, well, Superman himself could overcome. Supes first meets a couple of robots, then is covered in bombs, courtesy of the Flash, then gets buried in 90 tons of earth, only to have Green Arrow shoot him with some Kryptonite napalm while the Atom jumps around in his inner ear to disrupt his equilibrium. Superman begs Batman to stop, he only wants to talk. But he€™s not about to let Superman€™s betrayal go. Batman finally steps in to finish the job wearing spiked Kryptonite gauntlets. His final line, €œI€™m done talking. Get out of my cave.€ seems to be missing an expletive. Never before or since has Bats been more badass.
