7. Nightwing: Year One: Batman Fires Robin
Eventually there comes a time in every little bird's life when he has to leave the nest and fly out on his own. Dick Grayson, the first Robin, was no different. The end of the original Dynamic Duo was building for a long time. Dick wanted his own life, to be his own hero, a partner instead of a sidekick. He first joined the Teen Titans, but it just wasn't enough. Finally the day came when the pair simply couldn't work together anymore and Batman kicked Robin out of the cave. We rarely get to see sidekicks on the big screen to begin with, but when else has a sidekick ever been fired? This was a huge moment in Dicks life, and what lead him to eventually strike out on his own as the hero Nightwing. Nightwing is a great superhero, deserving of a movie all his own, and this moment would make the perfect opening. Weve already seen Batman and Robin as partners. Lets see how they handle the break up.
