10 Iconic Characters Movies Keep Screwing Up

If you ask any group which is the best Fantastic Four film adaptation, there's always someone who will answer with, "The Incredibles". That may sounds like a joke but it's surprisingly accurate. Not only does Mr. Incredible and his family have the same powers as Marvel's First Family, Brad Bird's Pixar film captures the dynamic of the superhero quartet better than any Fantastic Four movie has.

The studio behind the 1994 Fantastic Four had so little faith in the project, they never released it, nor intended to. They only made a FF feature to keep the film rights for the property.

The 2015 version was a minimal effort, hampered by sloppy CGI, weak acting, and a bland script. The follow-up, Rise of the Silver Surfer, wasn't much better. Josh Trank's gritty reboot, Fant4stic, was so shoddy, it actually made viewers defend Batman & Robin.

Even though Marvel's first heroes have had a lot of bad luck, fans are still optimistic. Now that Marvel Studios have snagged the rights to adapt the property, the company can finally deliver a Fantastic Four film that's actually fantastic.

But we're not out of the woods yet. Until recently, the MCU seemed like a sure thing. But with interest and quality waning in the formerly untouchable franchise, we cannot guarantee the Fantastic Four reboot will be all that is promised. If the ball is dropped on the Fantastic Four for the fifth freakin' time, it's likely the property's reputation will be irredeemably tarnished.
