10 Incredible Casts That Were Wasted On Really Awful Movies

2. New Year's Eve

Cast: Halle Berry, Robert DeNiro, Jessica Biel, James Belushi, Jon Bon Jovi, Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Jake T. Austin, Sarah Paulson, Abigail Breslin, Zac Efron, Josh Duhamel, Héctor Elizondo, Cary Elwes, Carla Gugino, Ludacris, Joey McIntyre, Seth Meyers, Russell Peters, Hilary Swank, Lea Michele, Alyssa Milano, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Til Schweiger, Yeardley Smith, Sofia Vergara, John Lithgow, Matthew Broderick, Ryan Seacrest, Cherry Jones and Michael Bloomberg. After the awful Valentine's Day, Gary Marshall once again managed to convince Hollywood to give him money in a second attempt in making the American Love Actually. And for the second time, he failed. New Year's Eve may have acquired a better cast than Valentine's Day, but it didn't help it in the slightest. This is over-sentimental cheese that convinces us to be about as happy as the actor's wooden performances would suggest that they are to be appearing in a film that is so hacky its a wonder that the producers didn't take Marshall's limbs. Much like Love Actually is essential Christmas Eve viewing for many, if New Year's Eve is essential viewing for any, they may as well go and play in traffic. With a film so mercilessly jam-packed with stars, both young and old, Marshall managed to do something that shouldn't have been possible - bore you for almost two hours that will make even the most festive of people hate the holiday season.
