10 Incredible Casts That Were Wasted On Really Awful Movies

6. Gulliver's Travels

Cast: Jack Black, Chris O'Dowd, Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Amanda Peet, T. J. Miller, Billy Connolly, James Corden and Catherine Tate. With a modern take on a classic 18th century novel, starring some brilliant comic talent (and James Corden), this could have, at the very least, been a nice little nifty movie that would cure all-round family boredom on rainy Sunday afternoons. Instead we were spat on with a film that forgot to be funny. We should have seen the signs with the marketing campaign, really, that agitated us every time we went to the cinema with the horrifying Orange Wednesday promo. But instead we took the chance and didn't even get cheap laughs. Jack Black, the human equivalent of Marmite, gave all his haters bags of ammunition, Emily Blunt made you want to punch her in the face through the screen (to put bluntly), and even the charms of Chris O'Dowd and Jason Segel, stars of two of the most popular sitcoms in recent years from either side of the pond, couldn't rescue this funeral of comedy. The dance number at the end will make you want to pluck out your eyes and ingest them through your nostrils.
