The way the trailer was portrayed, and with Pirates of the Caribbean's Gore Verbinski at the helm, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die seemed nailed on to be a fun, bombastic time travelling adventure, but the reality was anything but.

What was actually produced felt more like five Black Mirror episodes stitched together, and honestly not taken from the top drawer. From a character being allergic to technology to cloning children after school shootings, and the indifference this was done with, subtlety was at a premium over this particular two hour run.

With that in mind, it wasn't exactly a stretch to predict that the evil AI entity was going to win the day. In case anybody missed the message of the film, artificial intelligence, and the questionable development and use of technology are bad.

This was compounded when Ingrid (Haley Lu Richardson), seemingly happy and able to enjoy victory, began to notice certain things weren't quite right. She was in fact living within a simulation from the AI, something that resulted in Sam Rockwell's character heading back in the past to try again, leaving our protagonist no closer to stopping the apocalypse (caused by scrolling of course), than he was at the beginning.
