10 Insane Movie Cameos Everybody Forgets About

3. Bruce Springsteen - High Fidelity

Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back Mark Hamill
Buena Vista

Often mistaken as a chick flick, 2000's High Fidelity tells the tale of heartbroken Rob Gordon, as he laments his recent break up and reflects of previous lost loves.

Joining him in his fourth wall breaking escapades is a pre-megastar Jack Black, veteran actor Tim Robbins, and John Cusack's frequent collaborator/sister, Joan.

But the most surprising of cameos (except it's not now, if you've seen the picture) is The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen, popping up in one of Rob's many monologues.

You'd be fooled into thinking that it's just background music, as Rob continues his self-deprecation. It's only when he address the star that the camera pans to see him actually playing said background music.

Whilst obviously a figment of our protagonist's imagination, it's a nice little twist on the standard "sad background music" that it's actually being played in the film's universe.
