Ever find yourself strutting out of a movie theatre after taking in the latest slice of blockbuster superhero action and pondering precisely what life as a real-life costumed crimefighter would consist of?

Well, that's exactly what Dave Lizewski did during the course of 2010's Kick-Ass, taking inspiration from his comic books and becoming the unlikely hero Staten Island didn't know it needed.

And it was after watching Aaron Taylor-Johnson's titular cinematic wannabe get stabbed and run over during the fantasy flick that Seattle's own Phoenix Jones decided to take the law into his own hands, too.

Around a year on from Kick-Ass' release, an MMA fighter decked out in a black and yellow costume was found spending his time cleaning the streets with some pals, disrupting crimes and alerting the police when trouble was on the horizon.

Yet, much like the green and yellow crimefighter seen on the big-screen, Phoenix Jones was regularly condemned by the police for his interventions. That still didn't stop him continually making his presence known on the streets of Seattle, mind.
