10 Insane Rumours For Upcoming Movies

Though little concrete is actually known about the upcoming ninth Saw movie Spiral, there aren't any prizes for assuming the film will climax with a wild plot twist of some kind.

One of the more interesting ideas raised by fans, and one which would categorically connect Spiral to the original Saw movies, is that Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) will make an appearance.

The last time we saw Hoffman was of course at the end of Saw 3D, where Dr. Gordon (Cary Elwes) sealed him away inside the series' signature grotty bathroom, presumably confining him to death.

For what little it's worth, Mandylor was briefly listed as "rumoured" on IMDB's cast list, and though it's extremely unlikely that Hoffman is brought back into the fold as the main villain - especially as Spiral is basically a soft reboot for the series - perhaps we'll at least have his death confirmed in a flashback.

Given that nobody's dead in the Saw world until you see their corpse, it sure would bring closure to the old era and help usher in the new one.
