2. Nuclear Man #1 (Clive Mantle) - Superman IV: The Quest For Peace
In its original cut, Superman IV ran a patience-testing 134 minutes, yet the theatrical version clocks in at 90 minutes, allegedly because budgetary restraints meant certain sequences couldnt be completed. Entire sub-plots bit the the dust, including Lex Luthors first attempt at creating a nemesis for the Man of steel. Very different from the character played by Mark Pillow, Nuclear Man I is best described as Mr Freeze played by Moe Howard. With a bad black wig and a worse make-up job, this mute moron putters around the set, pausing only to wreck cars and throw Superman through walls, his shenanigans set to the most irritating temp score ever.
