10 A-List Actors Yet To Appear In A Comic Book Movie (And Who They Could Play)
4. Denzel Washington: Lucius Fox
As with Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington is an incredibly hard actor to find a role for in the comic book world - and in a decision that shows the lack of these kind of roles available to African-American middle aged men - the most fitting character for him to portray would be Lucius Fox. There is always the possibility that you could colour blind cast Washington as a different character but given that Fox is now firmly established in the public consciousness, and we have a new Bat-cast, Washington would be a great choice, with the chops to replace an actor of Morgan Freemans stately presence. Casting Washington would also bring a different favour to the character which would see him perhaps have more action out in the field. Alternatively there are other roles Denzel could inhabit like Commissioner Gordon but theres no denying he would make a great Lucius Fox and its a role that may need filling soon.
