10 Most Lovable Bands Of Misfits In Movie History

7. The Goonies

No list of misfits would be complete without The Goonies. It€™s basically a given, an unwritten rule. Mikey, Mouth, Data, Chunk, Brand, Andy, Stef, and of course Sloth €“ these are names that you know and love, because they€™re a part of your childhood. (Assuming you grew up in the €™80s or beyond. And if you did and they weren€™t, then they really should have been.) Mikey, Mouth, Data, Chunk, and Sloth, especially. Like the boys in Stand By Me, the Goonies have treasure on their minds, only this time literally, complete with treasure map, a pirate by the name of One-Eyed Willie, and an underground cavern and pirate ship. Steven Spielberg€™s Amblin Entertainment knew exactly what audiences wanted, and it€™s something so rarely seen these days. A group of misfits, shunned by their peers, that could unite and become heroes? It€™s the ultimate escape for any child who€™s ever been bullied, showing them a light at the end of the tunnel. And if you can do that and also introduce the beloved Truffle Shuffle and a handful of catchphrases in one sitting, you know you€™ve done something right.
