5. Sentinels Were Almost Transformers

Sentinels have now appeared in two X-Men movies - first in the simulation room in X-Men: The Last Stand and then, far more prominently, in X-Men: Days of Future Past when they were the main antagonists. The Last Stand only showed a giant head, while Days of Future Past portrayed them more like they are in the comics - as giant robots whose abilities can adapt to cope with the threat of any given mutant. However, this concept art for a touted appearance in X2 all those years ago had the Sentinels being portrayed as transforming robots who could turn in to giant wheels to mow down any mutant who got in their path.
