Of all the young adult movie franchises to hit our screens in recent years, The Hunger Games series sits proudly on top of the pile. Well produced, written and acted - particularly when you compare it to substandard fare like the Twilight saga - it's a solid adaptation of a trilogy which has earned its huge box office success. Given that it's an adaptation of a book series which has already been in the stores for some time, the ending is hardly going to be a surprise for those who've read them. With that in mind, the death of Katniss's sister Prim - due to take place in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 next year - won't be much of a shocker for those in the know. Naturally the death shocks Katniss and she sinks into a deep depression - but that's not all there is to it.
