10 Major Thoughts Coming Out Of Avengers: Infinity War
1. It Feels Like The First Half Of A Two-Part Movie
Even though everybody involved in the production has gone on record saying the exact opposite, make no mistake; Avengers: Infinity War definitely feels like the first half of a two-part movie.
The ending may come as a shock and end on a relatively somber note for such a massive blockbuster, but it doesn't feel like the conclusion of a story. Thanos has gathered the Infinity Stones, completed his mission and wiped out half the universe. So what now? You'll have to find out in Avengers 4, of course.
This isn't a knock on the movie by any means as it marked a vast upgrade on Age of Ultron, but despite its many successes and several flaws at no point does it feel like Infinity War has told anything approaching a complete story, and leaves a huge number of unanswered questions going into next year's follow-up.
The sequels were originally announced as Parts I and II, were shot back-to-back and will be released a year apart, despite Kevin Feige and cohorts continuing to claim that it isn't a two-parter. After watching Infinity War, it becomes increasingly difficult to believe them.
