5. Carrie Farris

In Man Of Steel, there was a United States Air Force officer who was attached to the operations of United States Northern Command and who was the assistant to General Swanwick who went by the name Captain Carrie Farris. This name is far too similar - and her job is far too related - to the aerospace mogul known as Carol Ferris in the comic books. Ferris is the long-time love interest of Green Lantern Hal Jordan and with the Green Lanterns set to join the DC Cinematic Universe very soon, this Farris character is likely to reappear, having been introduced as an allusion to the Justice League member. Interestingly, in the comics, Ferris went on to become Star Sapphire - a character who wears a power ring fuelled by love - which could mean the DC Cinematic Universe might include a number of Corps, as opposed to just the Green Lanterns.
